Why Oprah and the whole world are ecstatic over the law of attraction

At the start of the new millennium, visionaries and clairvoyants predicted a major shift to happen within 10 years after 2000, a movement so powerful that it would change the history of the earth. This great big shift was interpreted by many as a drastic shifting of the earth’s axis, an event which could prove to be perilous and catastrophic.

True enough, a major change is happening right now around the world, but thank God, it is has nothing to do with the earth’s axis or anything catastrophic. Instead, the great shift is occurring in the human mind, in the way people think and approach life in general. This great upheaval was initiated by the sudden upsurge in popularity of the universal law of attraction.

Thanks to the hype stirred by the enlightening blockbuster movie The Secret (you’d better get a DVD copy because you won’t see this movie in regular theaters!), the law of attraction is finally gaining the public attention and importance it is due. Its life-changing power has elicited the unprecedented enthusiasm of media superstars like Oprah Winfrey and Larry King, modern-day philosophers, psychologists, and proponents of new thought philosophy. Truly, the law of attraction can significantly transform the world.

The law of attraction has been known and preached by the world’s greatest minds and sages for thousands of years, including Plato, Shakespeare, Newton, Hugo, Beethoven, Lincoln, Emerson, Edison, Einstein, and Jesus Christ. And you have also already used it in your own life because as a universal law, it works whether you’re aware of it or not. All those wonderful, astounding, and seemingly miraculous coincidences that have happened to you which you could not explain or attribute to anything or anyone have come about as a result of the powerful law of attraction.

People who discover it for the first time marvel at its simplicity and wonder why it has not been taught to them earlier. Stated very simply, the law of attraction says: You attract into your life what you focus your mind and attention on. Your thoughts create your experiences; what you hold in your mind becomes reality. Like a magnet, you attract everything in your life by the power of your thoughts because after all, thoughts are energy!

By understanding and knowing how to use the law of attraction, you can create your dream life, and turn your impossible dreams into reality. All because of the law of attraction.

How It Works

My October 10, 2004 column in The Philippine STAR was devoted to the Law of Attraction. This explanation is part of what came out:

According to metaphysics writer Terryll Nemeth, "All minds are connected through a part of mind called Universal Mind. When we create a visualized thought form, which reaches out into universal mind, other people are also forming similar thought forms, which are compatible to ours. Through the magnetic principle of attraction of the subconscious mind, these compatible desires and needs meet. We are drawn into each other’s creations through compatible desires and needs.

"First of all, a seed idea must be created by using the aggressive action of the mind, creating a clear, complete, and detailed thought form. With the continued use of undivided attention and concentration, the clear and detailed thought form is then given to the subconscious mind to nurture and develop.

"The transfer of the seed idea from the conscious to the subconscious mind is completed when the conscious attention is removed from it. Now, the seed idea can begin to grow within the subconscious mind. We help the idea to blossom by combining it with physical activity that is in alignment with our desired outcome.

"We then love our seed idea into maturity by giving it our mental attention by seeing it growing through the influence of every endeavor and experience in our daily lives. As the thought form of our seed idea grows, it attracts to it other thoughts and minds with compatible ideals."
